Keep it Relevant

  • Only post messages that are related to Bangalore walks, Bangalore travel, and exploration.
  • Avoid irrelevant forwards, good morning messages, and memes.

No Spam or Excessive Messaging

  • No spamming. One message is enough—avoid repeated reminders or nudges.
  • Personal conversations should be taken to private chat after the first 1–2 public replies.

Event & Information Sharing on Mondays

  • You may share relevant Bangalore-based events, especially those related to heritage, culture, and art walks (once only).
  • Do not promote events repeatedly or send unsolicited invites.

No Promotions or Advertisements

  • Personal promotions, business ads, affiliate links, or product selling are not allowed.
  • Do not promote your services, classes, tours, or workshops unless approved by admins.

Content Sharing Etiquette

  • You may share information about a place with up to 2–3 images and useful details, such as location, transportation, and timings.
  • Blog posts and social media links must be directly related to travel in Bangalore and must be shared only when relevant.

Link Sharing Policy

  • No survey links, job postings, volunteering links, or personal promotional links.
  • Sharing links to other WhatsApp or Telegram groups is not permitted.

Respect and Conduct

  • Always be kind and respectful to others.
  • Disagreements are fine, but no aggression, insults, or passive-aggressive behaviour.

Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech or Bullying

  • Any form of bullying, hate speech, or derogatory remarks on religion, caste, gender, race, or political views will lead to immediate removal.

No Political or Medical Discussions

  • Please refrain from discussing politics, COVID-19, or medical topics, as well as forwarding news. This group is strictly for cultural and travel content relating to Bangalore.

Respect Privacy

  • Do not share screenshots or content from the group outside without permission.
  • Respect other members’ privacy and refrain from tagging or messaging them unnecessarily.

No Inappropriate Content

  • Do not send inappropriate images, videos, or messages that may include content that is sexually explicit, violent, or graphic, pirated or copyrighted material, fake news, or misleading information.
  • We cannot control behaviour outside the group, but inappropriate conduct toward other members via private messages may result in removal if reported.

Admin Rights

  • The admins reserve the right to remove anyone who violates these guidelines.
  • These rules are in place to ensure everyone enjoys and benefits from this group.

⚠️ First-time violators may be warned. Admins will investigate and take appropriate action. Repeated or serious violations will result in immediate removal. If you witness rule violations, please report to admins via private message.

Bengaluru Prayana and its admins are not responsible for:

  • Messages shared by individual members
  • Accuracy of information shared by members (non-admin posts)
  • Disputes between members
  • Any loss, damage, or harm arising from group participation or information shared

Data Collection

  • We collect phone numbers and names only to add you to the Bengaluru Prayana WhatsApp community and send updates.
  • Added by admins when you express interest in joining.
  • Consent is given when requesting to join or accepting an invitation.

  • Information is used only for walk announcements and relevant events.
  • Responding to queries related to Bengaluru Prayana activities.

  • We do not share, sell, or distribute your personal information to third parties.

  • Your phone number is visible to all group members (WhatsApp feature)
  • We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes
  • Group messages are visible to all members
  • WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies to the platform

Data Storage

  • Information is retained as long as you remain in the group
  • WhatsApp stores messages on its servers (see WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy for this)
  • After leaving, we retain your number only if you’ve participated in paid walks (for transaction records)

Data Security

  • We do not store group member data in external databases
  • Admin access is limited to authorised personnel only
  • We cannot guarantee the security of the WhatsApp platform itself

User Rights

  • You may leave the group or request that your data be removed at any time.
  • You have the right to withdraw consent for future communications.
