Bengaluru Prayana – Terms & Conditions for Participants

Nature of Experience
Bengaluru Prayana offers guided heritage walks that are curated based on independent research and storytelling. Our walks may include cultural walks, food tasting, cooking demonstrations, or visits to restaurants, breweries, or cafes. The experiences are coordinated and curated in partnership with chefs, food experts, or venue hosts, and we do not own or operate the venues or places.
Booking & Payment
- Full upfront payment is required to confirm your spot.
- Payments are accepted via UPI (GPay/PhonePe).
- Once the payment is made, please share a screenshot and your email address with us at bengaluruprayana@gmail.com.
- Participation is confirmed only upon our acknowledgment usually within 2 (two) days of making such payment. Upon confirmation, participants shall receive an acknowledgement along with general terms and conditions.
For Food and Beverage walks:
- You must inform us at the time of booking:
- All food allergies and intolerances
- Dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, religious, etc.)
- Any medical conditions that may be affected by food consumption
- Alcohol restrictions or preferences
- Failure to share these details in advance may limit your participation, with no refund.
- Walk fees cover pre-arranged tastings only. Additional orders at venues are at your expense.
For Walks conducted in restricted army areas
- At the time of booking, participants are required to provide their Aadhaar card number.
- We may request for a copy of the Aadhaar card for seeking required permissions in the restricted areas.
- Civilians are required to carry their valid Aadhaar card with them during the walks.
Refund & Rescheduling Policy
- While most walks are non-refundable and non-transferable, a few of our walks can be scheduled or refunded with at least 2 to 3 days’ notice. Check with the host before making the payment. The decision to refund/ reschedule is solely at Bengaluru Prayana’s discretion and is final and binding on the participant.
- If a walk is cancelled by Bengaluru Prayana (due to weather, emergencies, etc.), participants will be offered a credit for a future walk or a refund of the amount.
- The processing time to refund is 48 hours, and the amount will be credited to the customer’s account after processing the refund within 3 to 5 days.
- No refunds will be provided if you dislike the food, find venues unsuitable, or choose not to consume items due to personal preferences.
Health & Responsibility
- You acknowledge that heritage walks involve inherent risks, including walking on uneven surfaces, exposure to weather, traffic, and other hazards. Also, walks relating to food tastings, cooking demonstrations, or visits to restaurants, breweries, cafes, and other food establishments may include commercial kitchens, breweries, or food preparation areas with hot surfaces, sharp objects, machinery, wet floors, and other hazards.
- Participants must assess their own physical fitness prior to registering or during the walk and consume food and beverages entirely at their own risk. If you have any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions, please inform us and the partner host before the walk begins. While every care is taken, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, complete accuracy or disclosure of all ingredients, cross-contamination risks, or preparation methods. It is the participant’s responsibility to verify ingredients directly with venue staff before consumption if they have allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Bengaluru Prayana is not responsible for
- any injuries, accidents, or medical issues that may occur during the walk;
- pre-existing medical conditions/chronic diseases such as diabetes or failure to disclose health information;
- preparation, quality, hygiene, or ingredients of any food or beverage served;
- any allergic reactions, food poisoning, foodborne illnesses, or adverse health effects resulting from food or beverage consumption.
Minors
- Participants under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who accepts these terms on their behalf and assumes responsibility for the minor.
Alcohol Consumption
- You must be 21 years or older to take part in any brewery walks or tasting sessions.
- Please drink responsibly. You are solely responsible for your conduct and safety after consumption.
- We are not responsible for any consequences of over-consumption, misconduct, or health issues arising from alcohol intake.
Personal Belongings
- Participants are responsible for their own belongings. We are not liable for any loss, theft or damage.
Code of Conduct
- Respect for fellow participants and walk hosts is mandatory.
- Disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
- We reserve the right to refuse or remove participation of any individual at any point before or during the walks/ sessions who appears to endanger themselves or others, disrupts the walk, fails to follow the host’s instructions, appears intoxicated or under the influence. No refund will be given in such cases.
Photography & Media
- Photographs or videos taken during the walk may be used on Bengaluru Prayana’s social media and website.
- Please let us know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed. While we will try our best to respect it, we cannot guarantee full exclusion from group or background shots. Further, other participants may also take photos or videos, and Bengaluru Prayana is not responsible for how they use or share them or for getting them deleted.
- All walk content, routes, narratives, and materials are our Intellectual Property (IP). Participants must not reproduce, record (audio/video for commercial use), or commercially exploit walk content.
Third-Party Venues & Services
- Entry fees, if any, are the participant’s responsibility unless already covered in the fees paid by you.
- Partner venues and chefs, etc, are independent third parties and have their own safety and hygiene policies. We are not responsible for conditions at these locations or any incidents occurring there. Any disputes about food, service, or hygiene must be taken up directly with the respective venue.
- We are not liable for any incident, loss, or injury that occurs at or because of a partner venue or third-party service, including but not limited to:
- Food quality, preparation, or safety standards at partner venues
- Hygiene or sanitation practices at these establishments
- Service, staff conduct, or operations at partner venues
- Any incidents, accidents, or injuries occurring at partner venues
- Compliance with food safety regulations by partner venues
- Accuracy of ingredient information provided by venues
Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Terms and Conditions – Hops and Stops: Microbrewery Trail
By registering for the Hops and Stops Microbrewery Tour, participants agree to the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility
- Participants must be 21 years or older to join the tour.
- A valid government-issued photo ID must be presented at the start of the tour for age verification.
- Bengaluru Prayana reserves the right to deny participation without refund if the participant fails to produce valid identification.
Registration and Payment
- The participation fee for the tour is ₹2500 per person, which includes brewery tours, sampler beers, a guide fee, and snacks.
- The booking may be cancelled and refunded up to 3 days before the tour date. Cancellations made within 3 days of the tour are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- The tour will proceed only upon achieving the minimum required number of participants. In case of cancellation due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.
Conduct During the Tour
- This tour involves visiting multiple microbreweries and sampling alcoholic beverages.
- Participants are expected to consume responsibly and maintain courteous behaviour towards the host, staff, and fellow participants.
- Anyone found to be excessively intoxicated, disruptive, or engaging in inappropriate conduct may be asked to leave the tour without refund.
- Bengaluru Prayana and the host reserve the right to take necessary action to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
Health and Safety
- Participants join the tour at their own risk.
- Bengaluru Prayana shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the tour.
- Participants are advised to eat before and during the tour and stay hydrated.
Photography and Promotion
- Photographs and videos may be taken during the tour for promotional use by Bengaluru Prayana.
- By attending, participants consent to the use of their images for marketing and social media purposes unless they explicitly opt out in writing before the event.
Changes or Cancellation
- Bengaluru Prayana reserves the right to change the itinerary, breweries, or host due to operational or safety reasons.
- The booking may be cancelled and refunded up to 3 days before the tour date. Cancellations made within 3 days of the tour are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- In the event of unforeseen situations such as extreme weather or partner brewery issues, the tour may be rescheduled, and participants will be notified in advance.
Liability
- Bengaluru Prayana acts as a facilitator between participants and partner breweries.
- The organisation is not liable for any incident occurring within the premises of partner breweries.
- By registering, participants acknowledge that they understand the nature of the tour and accept all associated risks.
Disclaimer
- The information shared is based on research and storytelling for entertainment/ educational purposes only. The hosts are not licensed historians or tourist guides.
- Bengaluru Prayana does not guarantee historical accuracy or completeness. The walks are on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that walks will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations.
- You expressly agree that your participation in, or inability to participate in, the walk is at your sole risk.
- Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bengaluru Prayana from any claims, damages, lawsuits, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from their participation or conduct during the walk (including food and beverage walks). Bengaluru Prayana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, acts of god, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost time, or inconvenience. And in any event, our maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the walk, regardless of the nature of the claim.
