Whitefield Heritage Trail

Beyond IT Parks. Into 150 Years of History.

Whitefield Heritage Trail

Overview

When people think of Whitefield today, they think of tech parks, traffic, and fast-paced city life. But long before it became Bengaluru’s IT hub, Whitefield was a quiet, self-sustaining Anglo-Indian settlement with a history that goes back more than 150 years.

The Whitefield Heritage Trail takes you through this lesser-known past. Walk through leafy lanes, past old bungalows, churches, and forgotten landmarks, and hear stories of the people who shaped this neighbourhood in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

This walk helps you see Whitefield not as a suburb you pass through, but as a place with deep roots and layered stories.
