History of Taj Westend Bangalore
Taj Westend Bangalore has shifted through many owners. It started as a boarding house with just ten beds in 1887 by a British woman called Mrs. Bronson. It was the first hotel in the city. Due to its popularity, the hotel was expanded, and in 1912, it was bought by Spencer for just Rupees 4000. The hotel was again sold in 1984 to Taj Group.

By Road
The hotel is just 4 kilometres from the city centre. It is walkable, or you can hire an auto-rickshaw or a cab from the city centre to the hotel.
By Public Transport
The nearest metro station is the Dr. B. R Ambedkar metro station. This metro station is just about a kilometre from the hotel. You can either walk or take an auto rickshaw. The cost for the auto rickshaw must not be more than Rupees 30 and always ask the driver to turn on the metre.
By Air
Bangalore has an international and domestic airport with two terminals. Located in Devanahalli, Kempegowda International Airport is one of the biggest airports in India. The airport is around 35 kilometres from the hotel, and you can easily take a cab from the airport to get to the hotel.
